Lauren Anderson's ePortfolio
Hi, my name is Lauren Anderson and I am a first-year student at IUPUI! From as early as I can remember, I have loved being creative. If it involves making something, count me in! I have applied this to all aspects of my life, from my classes, to my hobbies, and even my job. I am currently a manager at Crumbl Cookies where I am able to use my skills to make delicious cookies and happy customers! I also love animals, my dog is my best friend!

I moved five times throughout my schooling and lived in three different states. Although it was difficult at times, it has made me resilient. High school wasn't always easy because of this, but despite these challenges, I was able to graduate in the top 10% of my class. Another accomplishment I am proud of is my job. My current job is also my first job. I was nervous when I started, but I have discovered that I am willing and eager to learn and grow. I quickly got promoted to manager after just a few months working there!
Major and Career Goals
I am currently doing exploratory studies. I have struggled with figuring out what I want to do with my life. Right now I am trying to take classes in a couple different areas that I'm potentially interested in, like Art and computer science. I have chosen to take classes involving art because I have always enjoyed being creative and maybe want to incorporate it into my career. I know computer science is becoming an increasingly important and in demand field which is why I am learning more about it.

My current goals include figuring out what I want to do, I truly have no idea. Right now I'm pretty much just existing, so I would like to figure out what I would like to do with my life. I need to explore some of my options and find what will work best for me. I also need to get my priorities straight to decide if I want my career to be based around money or passion, because I have a passion for art but I'm not sure if I would be able to make enough money to support myself in the ways I would like to. As I continue taking classes and learning more about myself these decisions will hopefully become much clearer.
